The Sussex - Gents jacket
There are colours that belong to the land as though they grew from it. Olive is one of them.
Woven through with black in a herringbone of exceptional quality, this wool carries the depth and character of the countryside itself — earthy without being dull, dark without losing warmth. The olive shifts through its tones depending on the light: green in the morning, almost bronze by afternoon, settling into something rich and indefinable by dusk. The black herringbone structure holds it all together, giving the fabric its backbone, its texture, its quiet authority.
The cut is built on classical lines and executed without compromise. A shoulder that sits broad and natural, requiring nothing of the man inside it. The chest precise, the waist with a clean taper — present but never forced. Lapels with the kind of correct roll that marks proper tailoring immediately.
On the field it reads as the jacket of a man who knows exactly what he is doing. Against a white stock and pale breeches, the olive deepens beautifully. This is a jacket with no desire to impress — and that, of course, is what makes it so impressive.
